A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Choose a New Bike
Assuming you employer is signed up to the scheme it’s time to find a shiny new bike! Before visiting us we recommend checking with your employer the amount you’ll have available from Cycle to Work Scheme funding, to go towards buying your bike. (This is normally based on annual earned income.) Then come in to visit us in the shop and we’ll go through the available bikes, check the frame size you need and help you choose the most suitable model of cycle to best meet your needs.
Step 2: Choose Safety Equipment
Once you’ve found a new bike the next step is to choose safety equipment. We have a range of lights, locks, helmets, clothing and other accessories to choose amongst.
Step 3: Receive a Quotation Form
Once both bike and safety equipment have been chosen – we’ll write up a quotation form for you. This will have all the details about the particular bike and accessories you’ve chosen. We’ll add our store code onto the form, which your employer will need when processing the paperwork. Once the document’s completed you’ll then need to fill in an online request form at: www.cyclescheme.co.uk
Step 4: Obtain a Voucher
Fill in a form at: www.cyclescheme.co.uk your employers unique code. Your employer can then confirm you are eligible. Cycle-2-Work Scheme will then send them an invoice for the bike package and you will be sent a hire agreement to be signed. Once Cycle-2-Work Scheme have fixed up the funding you’ll be issued with a secure certificate voucher. This voucher’s all you need to collect your bike.
Step 5: Ride Away!
When you’ve received the voucher just contact us to arrange to collect your new bike. We’ll make sure your bike is ready to ride away when you call in to collect. You’ll need to bring both the voucher and photographic ID (typically a plastic card Drivers Licence or your Passport).
We’ll complete the remaining paperwork and then you’ll be ready to ride away!
